Creating safe and equitable classrooms across Canada
Our consultancy, training and education packages are the ideal solution for schools looking to set the highest of standards in their classrooms.
If you are unsure of what you need, or would like to discuss our full range of services, book a FREE 20 minute consultation to find out how we can help you provide equitable career education for your students.
CONSULTING
Representation matters, and we want to ensure that every child feels seen from an early age.
This package is a great start for schools looking to diversify their classroom libraries and to understand how some of the most popular books and resources can be harmful to children.
Our consulting package includes:
Full audit of your classroom library
Written recommendations of which books and resources to remove with full reasoning
Personalised list of up to 30 recommended books and resources (these can be sourced and purchased on your behalf for an additional cost)
Complimentary copy of When I Grow Up
EDUCATION
Equitable classroom education is the next step for schools wishing to empower their educators; by allowing them more involvement in the process. Unlike consulting, this education package will give teachers the opportunity to discuss their current library with us, and workshop the ways in which it can be improved.
Our education package includes:
Full audit of classroom library
Follow up discussion with teaching staff highlighting specific resources from the library that are disenfranchising for underrepresented communities
Personalised list of up to 30 recommended books and resources (these can be sourced and purchased on your behalf for an additional cost)
Complimentary copy of When I Grow Up
TRAINING
Our three hour equitable classroom training session is designed to provide educators with the tools and resources needed to ensure every student feels included.
The books and toys that children have access to at elementary school can define their career aspirations long into adulthood. By creating a space that is welcoming and diverse for your students, you are investing in their future by telling each and every one of them that their identity matters.
Our two hour virtual training session* includes:
The importance of stereotype free career education and how best to provide it
How to guide rather than advise your students
Practical tools to audit your own classroom library
List of recommended books and resources
Complimentary copy of When I Grow Up
*minimum 5 attendees required.
