REMOVING BIAS
Suitable for children aged 3+, our products provide entertainment and education through play.
By showing children a variety of jobs being undertaken by fruits and vegetables rather than humans, the biases around gender, age, race, and economic background are completely removed.
BROADENING HORIZONS
The jobs depicted are ones that many children may not know exist or jobs that they may not consider as legitimate careers.
To facilitate expansive learning, every card has a short description of the illustration. This increases awareness of the labour market, while also improving literacy.
JOB TYPES
Each of the cards has a job 'type', as defined by the National Occupational Classification system (NOC). These have also been colour coded so that at a glance you can identify which category each card belongs to.
VISUAL LEARNING
Each OPUS card has a symbol at the bottom, representing a key element of the illustrated job role. This allows those who are visual learners to understand a little about what the job entails at a glance.
